How to customize your desktop

The Kitview work environment or more simply, desktop, is fully customizable (see different desktops).
If some panels are not in the right location, or some need to be deleted or added, these manipulations are easy to perform.
To be able to rearrange your desktop, you must switch to expert mode. Now you are ready to customize your desktop. Click on "Desktops", then "Design the desktop".

When you have activated "Design the desktop" your windows (even those in tabs) can move around.

What are these 4 icons for?

The first is used to reorganize sibling windows.
The second allows to maximize the window.
The third allows you to undock.
The fourth closes the window.

Example: undocking the PortFolio for docking into Keywords.

The "PortFolio" window is now ready to move (or click on X to make it disappear).

To move the window, click on the title bar and keep it pressed to drag and drop to where you want to move it.

1. you will place your undocked window to the left of the panel below.
2. you will place your undocked window to the right of the panel below.
3. you will place your undocked window on top of the panel below.
4. you will place your undocked window at the bottom of the panel below.
5. the central part allows you to place your undocked window as a tab of the panel below.

Release the mouse. The PortFolio window will dock in the bottom part of the Templates window.

You can also move the horizontals or verticals to enlarge or decrease the size of the windows.
